Leather chin strap.
If you ride and train horses in a 'loose ring snaffle' bit, you are systematically diminishing the mouth of the Horse if you are not using a 'chin strap' and you are throwing away crucial control for when things go wrong AND placing pain on the side of the face of the horse.
