After over a year of testing, we can now offer the new O'Leary Buck Stopper. The humane way to stop bucking.
If you've got a suspect horse that could do you some serious harm then you need to consider the O'Leary Buck Stopper. No pain for the horse, no complicated set up involving the mouth & skin off gums, no cruelty, just safe outcomes.
When you've ruled out any physical or dental issues, then the O'Leary Buck Stopper is ideal for suspect, green or girthy horses to see you through and help change their existing learned behaviours or to stop them before they start.
Made with quality HP leather, and high density neoprene beneath kid leather for total comfort for the horse. Quick and easy to put on around the neck and only acts when the horse starts to position itself to buck.
Available in Full, Cob or Pony sizing, brown only.
Full 72–93cm
Cob 68–86cm
Pony 52–71cm
"Just providing you with positive feedback for the anti-bucking strap which was recently purchased from you.
Our nine year old granddaughter had a very enjoyable time riding her little white pony at Ranchhorse this weekend. Whilst the little pony thought he might pop in a buck or two during the bending and barrel races, to his horror he was unable to pop head down to produce the buck he had mastered prior to us purchasing the anti-bucking strap.
In our opinion the anti bucking strap was worth every dollar we spent purchasing it. I certainly would recommend this anti-bucking strap to others in the future, simply because it does the job it was designed to do. It's a great piece of horse training equipment."

“I tried out the buckstopper today and it works great. He went to throw a tantrum and as soon as he tried to chuck his head down he just stopped and I could see him trying to process it, kept working with him and he just stops now instead of bucking which makes it easy to settle him then ask for forward again. I’ll keep going with it for a few months until he’s past the suspect stage. Please pass on my feedback to John O’Leary if you can, the video was great as well. Thanks heaps!"
