APPROVED FOR DRESSAGE BY FEI.
We've been getting some amazing feedback from this bit—from small ponies to serious x/country horses!
So for our small pony friends we've now got the smaller 4.0" bit and smaller rings to match. The small rings are 60mm in diameter and available in 4.0", 4.25", and 4.5" bits. The standard rings are 75mm.
Totally eliminate the risk of pinching the horses lips between the mouthpiece and rings, and removes the need for rubber bit guards that irritate horses. The rings position within the sleeve so that when contact is taken up the bit becomes more fixed and stable in the mouth. Ideal for horses that still like a little play in the rings but also like more stability than a true loose ring can offer.
The design also stops the rings from completely opening outwards or inwards, preventing pressure from rings against the lips and face.
Available with barrel and in sizes 4.0" to 7".
Barrel sizes: 4–4.75" = 20mm; 5–5.50" = 28mm; 6–7" = 30mm.

IMPORTANT FITTING INFORMATION:
The HP Barrel bits fit a little larger than the regular single or double jointed bits due to the mouth shaping. Measure the horses mouth yourself (using rope or twine in the mouth where the bit goes, thumbs FLUSH on each side, measure between your thumbs), PLEASE don't go on the size of your existing bit. Then go down 1/4" or down to the nearest size. These bits are designed to fit slightly lower in the mouth and have approx 1cm of arm outside the mouth—if you can see the elbow of the arm, it is too large.
HP Relief Sleeved Bit (with small rings): I must give you an update! The bit from you for our pony is amazing!!! No pinching!

Today, I use the HP Relief Sleeved bit, for the third day, and went hunting, where my horse normally pulls for an hour & the old brake system used to fail when asked... not today! To fully test the new bit, I did not wear a noseband & got numerous comments about being "undressed"!
I was on a virtual loose rein the whole four hours, was able to jump without any fighting or rushing at the few jumps & watched whilst others were struggling with a variety of gag's & nosebands with cranks & flashes...
I can't thank you enough to introduce me to the HP Lip Relief Sleeved bit. My horse says a huge THANK YOU... so happy to have met you and ask you for your advice... Our flat & jump lesson yesterday was the best ever - jumping on a loose rein w/o the normal fight or rubbish paces.. freedom at last."
